The Church of the Latterday Hypocrites or Plymouth Brethren 'Christian' Church are at it again

The Church of the Latterday Hypocrites or Plymouth Brethren 'Christian' Church are at it again - relaxing their hard held rules and thumbing their noses at those they have dealt with so cruelly in the past.

The scene - a popular summer beachside resort last week in Southern Victoria. A Mini bus full of Brethren pulls up - they all assemble at a large Esky at the rear of the vehicle and proceed to drink alcohol quite early in the morning. They then board a chartered (worldly) fishing vessel and go fishing for the dayreturning later in the afternoon with their haul.

I can remember a fellow being thrown out for fishing. I remember pointing out to my father at the time- that Peter was a fisherman -but was left in no doubt that fishing is an activity of the world and banned from the Brethren. Brethren as a result were always banned from owning boats. In my day they would have slung you out in a heartbeat for such a 'sin'.

But today - the Brethren who are 'in this world BUT not of this world' are enjoying all sorts of hedonistic delights in their down time. Yes -they may have wrecked lives and families in the past for far less heinous things- but they simply don't care. Their leader- is a master at changing the rules - particularly when it benefits him. This latest reversal is no doubt a product of Hales giving them a little more bang for their recreation hours so that they will work harder and make more money for him.

The fact remains that they destroyed people's lives for far less and as such - they should be held accountable. Either issue an apology -something they avoid at all costs due to the chance of successful legal action - or pay those you dealt with wrongly.God knows you took their families and inheritances as well.

The Plymouth Brethren are seasoned hypocrites - they are incorrigible liars - they DO destroy lives -and they get paid handsomely by Governments around the world who cannot - or will not - see through their tissue of deceit.

How incredibly stupid or blind are these Commissioners in the UK, Australia and elsewhere who believe their hype? You have the facts. Why won't you do the decent -if not logical thing and act on it? Meanwhile - while others are trying to piece together a few days rest after a hard tax-paying year - these clowns are avoiding tens of millions in tax and are now expanding their portfolio of allowable Hales sanctioned fun. It's only a matter of time before Hales opens their own Theme Park with Rollercoasters and side shows - all funded of course by the mugs that watch their dishonest antics from the sidelines in the 'evil' world.

The fact is that there are thousands of people cut off from their families for the rest of their lives for far less - some even for simply expressing a thought that fell outside of the guidelines of their approved activities. It won't be long before Hales has sanctioned sports cars and Hales owned movie theatres.

  1. Changing rules, reversing previous edicts & hypocrisy in practice & doctrine are the marks of a false church.

Firstly, a genuine Christian Church has no right from God, the Bible nor anyone else to pronounce rules on matters outside of the scope of the Bible. Going to cinema, watching films, going to the beach, having a swim, deciding what clothes to wear, having a tv, having a radio, etc etc, are all matters of individual Christian conscience as instructed in Romans 14 & 16. Declaring such activities to be “sins” is complete nonsense & is one of the many signs of cultish sectarianism

Secondly, if a church makes a ruling on something declaring it to be a “sin” then it cant be a “sin” one month and then not a sin the next month. If that happens then the thing or activity concerned was never a sin in the first place !

Thirdly, Gods Word the Bible does not change. The Bible, its written word, which is the word of God, does not change, it is constant. Christ Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore (Hebrews 13)

  2. And further to the above missive- things must have relaxed even more with regards to Sunday - or as they used to like to call it- The Lord's Day - as I witnessed two young Brethren women shopping on a Sunday in a town that has no Peeb Church - obviously skiving from a meeting somewhere or other. Perhaps Bruce is so busy building a business he is losing control.

Do you think it to be “kind in our thoughts about others” to carry out the following actions, doctrines, rules and teachings of the PBCC Exclusive Brethren –

      - refusing to eat or drink with other Christians

      - refusing to worship, fellowship or sit at the Lords Table with other Christians

      - declaring ALL other Christians from any other Christian Church, to be unfit, iniquitous, in the world - just because they are not members of the PBCC EB

      - dividing families if a person leaves the PBCC EB which means family members are split for generations with no contact, not allowed to eat or drink together etc

      - sending out lawyers letters, using intimidation, bribes and threatening behaviour to try to suppress and silence those who expose PBCC EB wrong doing and abuses

      - saying that any members who are passing information to those outside are traitors and should be shot or hanged (words of your leader Bruce Hales in 2012)

      - saying that any association with “the world” (any persons outside the PBCC EB even if they are Christians) gives a sense of defilement (words of your leader Bruce Hales

The above list (which is a small example) is not being “kind in our thoughts about others” is it ?

The above list is the opposite of being “kind in our thoughts about others”, it shows an organisation which is obsessed with –

      - cultivating a culture of fear
      - belittling and denigrating all others outside of itself
      - denigrating and finding faults with all other Christians outside of itself
      - maintaining a culture of them and us
      - maintaining a culture of superiority to all others

Non of that is taught in the Bible, which is the Word of God, but it is extremist religious sectarianism, something which Christ Jesus hated

Yes and so did Gordon Pollard when it suited him. My parents were very kind to that man when he was first married and was very short of money. He repaid that years later by spreading false stories about them to my in-laws, which neither he, nor they ever apologised for.

As a wealthy man Gordon Pollard was driven by a vengeful need to hurt those who had helped him in his hour of need. I would hazard a guess that the same sort of history motivates BDH, otherwise why would he promote such a vindictive man to be a Bible and Gospel Trust Trustee and a taker of 3 Day Meetings?

There is only one Lord's table, one truth one fellowship, one standard and one right way to go. You knew the one way, but turned aside for an easier way that leads to hell..

You say,”There is only one Lord's table, one truth one fellowship, one standard and one right way to go. You knew the one way, but turned aside for an easier way that leads to hell.”

I think you are implying (correct me if I am wrong) that the Hales fellowship is the “one Lord’s table,” the “one fellowship,” the “one right way to go,” and the Hales ministry is the “one truth” and the “one standard.” If that is what you mean, your posting neatly encapsulates the extreme sectarianism that occurs in many sects, but occurs in a particularly toxic form in the Hales fellowship.

The idea that “there is only one right position and we are it and everyone who leaves it is on the way to hell” is promulgated in several extremist sects, not because there is the slightest reason to believe it, but simply because it helps to hold the sects together, and makes members afraid to leave.

Most of those who have left such a sect have not “turned aside for an easier way.” It is not “an easy way” to speak up against evil when there are a thousand of your brethren against you, and not one of them brave enough or honest enough to support you. It is not easy for a young person to lose all his friends and family and home, and go out from among them, all alone, and not knowing where he is going to sleep that night. It is not an easy way, but it is the right way.

If you have any wish to defend the reputation of the Hales fellowship, or have it recognised as a reputable church, you should keep your extreme sectarianism under cover, because it is one of several disgraceful features of the Hales fellowship that make it look really sinister.

This is not the extremist group Garth Christie presented to the PASC as a mainstream church, surely not?

Are you some sort of splinter group? If so, you have some fellow travellers; some of them run around in woods with guns and ammunition and others have been known to self destruct, such as Koresh and The Branch Davidians at Waco. Some live in trailer parks with multiple wives and innumerable children.

They all think they are the only true church. Join the club!

  4. Ahem....We are not discussing others who are slightly disagreeable, slightly selfish or slightly immoral here. We are discussing those who have been responsible for family break ups, child abuse, child abduction, abuse of women, mental break down, alcoholism, financial poverty, homelessness and even loss of life. The list is incomplete. According to your reasoning, we should only look for the good in acts of massive immorality, criminal behaviour and wrong doing, without any form of censure Perhaps you could list the good aspects of the PBCC that outweigh the above.

  5. OK, the following is a list of good aspects of the PBCC that outweigh the bad:

  6. I am not qualified to comment on these Exclusive Assembly Meetings living far far away! I have mainly fellowshipped with open brethren assemblies known as Bible Chapels!

  7. I've worked with these people and they are inconsistent liars. They laugh when someone not of the brethren cult shows them their lies. They change the subject conveniently so their character isn't tarnished. These people are sinners unaware of their sin and need for repentance. These people are two-faced and don't hold their children accountable to their actions. Their children curse like sailors and lie boldly. The parents support the lying because the parents lie too! And they say they uphold the bible. That's another lie. They certainly do not adhere to the bible. I speak the truth and I'm letting it be known on here because working with these people is a so confusing. They say one thing, then do another. It's blasphemy.
