The 'sham' that is the PBCC rapid relief team

If you need help in an emergency situation or have underfed emergency workers you dial this outfit which has an answer phone and will call you back during 'office hours' Monday through till Friday!

  1. The UK number is Chelwood House, (G&BT's haunt). It screams 'on-our-terms-only' doesn't it?

  4. RRT What does the Rapid relief team do exactly?
Is this a While-you-wait hand job?

  5. Anon - Far be the thought, lest it tempt ye to go thither.
More to do with providing while-you-wait refreshments to the emergency services.

  6. Where's your charity? You can't expect an emergency service to drop reading the ramblings of a Man of Grog, in order go out and feed a fire fighter!

  7. I'm sick of all this criticism. Why can't you give credit where credit's due? My cat got stuck up a tree and the RRT arrived within six days, and brought it a tuna sandwich (which I buried with the corpse). The world is a better place for the RRT. I just wish there were more brethren, so we could have more RRTs. I just wish I had a meeting room in my backyard so I knew I had ultimate protection. I was desperately short of Johnnie Walker the other night and the RRT were there with back-up supplies in six minutes. Wouldn't share one with me though, which I thought strange.

  8. And it’s a bit mean to complain that the RRT can only be contacted via an answering machine during normal office hours. We can surely depend on a benevolent Providence to arrange that bush fires, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanic eruptions, meteorite impacts and other disasters occur at the appropriate times. Where is your faith?
